Interviewing for a job can be stressful. To place yourself ahead of all other candidates, it is best to go into an interview composed, well prepared, and leaving those whom interviewed you with the impression that you are the best choice for the position. IIC recommends these three tips, regardless of whether you are looking for a career in cosmetology or any other field:
- Be prepared with valuable questions for the end of the interview.
- Do a lot of research on the salon (or other industry) and their social media ahead of time. Refer to posts, reviews or other positives you noticed while doing your research.
- Be positive and enthusiastic about the opportunity- and also willing to do any reasonable task at hand to better the business.
Bonus Tip…. Show up to your interview 10 minutes prior to scheduled time. Always remember that you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression!
