Recently we interviewed IIC educator, Chanice. She told us a little bit about her salon as well as what she is teaching the students at International Institute of Cosmetology.

What services do you offer at your salon?✨
Facial waxing for men has become popular. It exfoliates to make the skin softer and helps to reduce razor bumps. It can leave a cleaner line than using an edger. New hair growth comes in so much slower.
I also offer brow tinting darkening to have the shape of the brow pop and stand out.
Wig installation is popular because clients are tired of their hair. A wigwig will camouflage their hair for 3 to 4 weeks.
You recently came out with your own product?✨
Yes, the aloe vera miracle hair mask.
As a child my mom used aloe for my dryness so I came up with the product. It’s a before shampoo product. It helps reduce excessive build up and retains the ph of hair while helping mend split ends. It also relieves dry scalp.
How has back to school been for the students when working with clients? ✨
Students are more cautious when taking clients. We constantly re-inforce hand washing, wearing face shields and masks. I reassure them letting them know I take clients all the time. My phase 4 students are getting hired in salons and started assisting. Recently I did a demo teaching them weft sew-in extensions. They last up to 4 to 5 weeks. We also go over wig making.
