✨What advice would you give someone looking in to Cosmetology school?
If you really want to go for it , DO IT! It’s a lot of fun. But take it seriously and use your time wisely and absorb everything! It will be so worth it!
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
I plan to work in a Salon that offers extension services along with cuts, color styling ; any educational classes to help me further my education.
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were?
When I realized: “I CAN STOP OVERTHINKING”
It all falls into place when you let go and just do it!
✨What made you decide cosmetology & attend International Institute of Cosmetology?
I decided I wanted to try out cosmetology school because I’ve always been into doing hair, makeup, nails on close friends and family. I started doing research on schools I was drawn to International Institute of Cosmetology because of its extensive program. What sealed the deal for me was also asking around and so many people recommended IIC!

✨What made you decide to cosmetology & attend International Institute of Cosmetology?
I had chosen cosmetology school because I always had a passion to explore more about the hair industry. I used to love to do my Barbies hair, and I would also have little mannequin heads as well. Any chance I could get I would always do my Mimi or my mom‘s hair. I love to work with others and bond with new clients in my chair.
“My goal is to make everyone that leaves my chair to feel 10 times better than they did walking in!!”
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were:
When I was in phase 1, we were learning how to cut hair and of course I cut past my second knuckle and split it open pretty good. I had to leave school and go to urgent care to get it glued back and then I came right back to school because I didn’t want to miss any hours.
✨What advice would you give someone looking in to Cosmetology school?
My advice that I’d give you all who are interested in cosmetology school is to always believe in yourself and never give up. Don’t be too hard on yourself because you are only learning and you’re going to grow from here. Lastly, always come to school! The only time I have ever missed school is when one of my flights got canceled so I was stuck in Florida. So, come to school!
