Recently, @buryalihair, who is currently enrolled as a cosmetology student at the International Institute of Cosmetology , had the chance to craft a stunning pink and purple look that’s vibrant, dimensional, and full of personality. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how this bold transformation was brought to life.
Starting Point: A Perfect Canvas
The client came in with a beautiful level 10 blonde, which meant there was a clean, light base to work with—no pre-lightening needed! Starting with a level 10 is ideal for vivid colors because it ensures the shades show up in their full intensity.
The Technique: Opposite Foils for Maximum Dimension
To give the most dynamic look, @buryalihair used opposite foils on each side of their head. This means that one side featured more purple, while the other had a heavier focus on pink. By alternating the placement, it created a stunning, asymmetrical flow that added movement and depth to the final look.
For an even more dimensional effect, @buryalihair used different techniques while working up the head. Some sections were thicker slices, while others featured finer weaves.
