✨What made you decide cosmetology & go to IIC?
What made me decide on cosmetology school and International Institute of Cosmetology was the idea of making people feel beautiful and the best version of themselves. I’ve always enjoyed playing with and styling my own hair so the idea of being able to give someone else their dream hair truly excited me. I chose IIC because my best friend was currently in attendance, and I knew other people that have already graduated from IIC and are EXCELLENT stylists!
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (time you realized this is what you should be doing)?
My Ah Hah moment in school was when I was able to comprehend the color wheel. I feel as though when I had a complete understanding of color theory formulating became so much easier and brought me sooooo much more confidence when it came to coloring someone’s hair!.
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
When I graduate from International Institute of Cosmetology, I want to take a few years to learn from more experienced stylists by either assisting or just working next to them! My main goal that I hope to achieve one day thought would most definitely be to open my own salon suite.
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
Some advice I would give to someone looking into cosmetology school would be to “just go for it”. I was very scared and doubtful in myself when I was about to start and when I started & I’m so glad I didn’t allow that to hold me back because now I know this is where I need to be and what I want to do for the rest of my life.

I’ve grown up with younger sisters and always loved to do their hair and learn as much I could from online tutorials. I’ve always been the stylist for friends and family for big events and finally decided I wanted to make a career of it!
✨My Ah Hah moments in school were (time you realized this is what you should be doing)?
I think when other classmates have come to ask me for help with something or to show them how I did a certain updo or something like that. It really affirmed that I was in the right place and I love being able to help others learn to do something new!
✨Where do you see yourself when you finish school?
I will be working in a salon under a great mentor that can help me to continue my education and become the best stylist I can be!
✨What advice would you give someone looking into Cosmetology school?
The advice I would give to someone looking into school would be to be nice to everyone and learn from everyone around you educators and students alike!
